- Next, turn the gas off by locating the metal knob on the propane tank and turn it all the way right.
- Refer to your grill’s instructions for how to unhook the gas line. For most gas grills, you simply need to find where the rubber hose connects to the grill, firmly grip it and turn the connector valve until it comes off.
